We Must Continue to Innovate!

When you’ve been in business as long as we have (40 years!!), things tend to change. I’ve seen a lot of fads come and go over the years: clothing, technology, Presidents, and they all change. There is one thing, however, that has never changed and that’s the need to innovate. The need to tinker with what we have, to make it bigger and better, and to push the boundaries of what we know.
I remember when I was just starting this business and Steve Jobs was at his beginnings with the Apple computer. At the time, though, that’s all Apple did was make computers. But look at them today! iPhones, iPods, iPads, watches, TVs, and the list goes on. It’s because they evolved their way of thinking.
My point is, we can’t just stand still and continue to be what we were when we started. We have to innovate within our own businesses and grow our capabilities to meet the needs of a world that is changing before our very eyes. Here at Cowley, we’ve innovated from traditional advertising into web, digital, social media, email marketing, digital signage and very soon, custom CRMs. What have you innovated lately?
