It Was The Best of Times?

Did you ever think the election would end like it did? Thanksgiving is approaching, and as our nation adjusts to the idea of our new president-elect, it is more important than ever to remember the things we have to be thankful for:

People Voted. Whether you voted for Trump or Hillary, the point is that you voted, and you will have the opportunity to do so again in another four years.

People Care. We all want what’s best. Some are hopeful for the future while others are terrified, but no one would feel so strongly either way if we all didn’t want what was best for our country. Sure there will always be disagreements as to what exactly that is, but we are the United States of America. Now more than ever we need to remember that and stay united as we work towards a better future.

In the wake of such an historic election we all have a choice to make. We can choose to be pessimistic and make the worst of it, or we can choose to be optimistic and make the best of it. We can complain, or we can continue to be informed and involved in the decisions to come that will shape our country’s, and our global future. I for one am choosing to be optimistic about the whole thing and I encourage all my readers to do the same! Happy Thanksgiving!
