I think we all know by now that video is one of the hottest marketing trends going right now. With YouTube’s ever-growing dominance and audience attention spans getting smaller and smaller, video is one of the easiest ways to captivate an audience and tell a story. One of the most popular types of video is a “Corporate Video.” Something that introduces your organization and its services in an engaging way so a viewer can understand who you are without having to read paragraphs of text. It can be used on your website, social media, at tradeshows, or anywhere else you can imagine.
Video Celebrates Compassionate Family Medicine’s 10-Year Anniversary

Dr. Ted Triana’s medical practice is celebrating its 10-Year Anniversary this year and to celebrate, he is having a Gala this month for everyone who has made an impact on the practice over the past decade. To commemorate this special occasion, Dr. Triana needed a video that showcased this historical achievement and highlighted what Compassionate Family Medicine meant to those who worked and received care there.
I don’t watch a lot of TV, but that doesn’t matter. Despite Netflix taking over much of the “viewing marketing” (which is fine with me, love to stream on my own time), video ads remain a strong advertising medium via sports bars, friends’ houses, and YouTube pre-roll (you know, “You can skip this ad in 5, 4, 3, 2 seconds…).

We have wanted to do an about us video for some time. We've had different ideas and depending on how closely you follow us you may have seen them. There was a couch video where everyone magically appears on a couch. There was the standard "film you working" approach. Then there was the best worst idea we've ever had: float a camera into the sky. Well, we did, the line broke, and that camera is gone forever.
According to a study done by the global social media monitoring company Synthesio, company mascots actually generate more social media buzz and biz than celebrity endorsements! Synthesio ranked the top 5 social media endorsers for both celebrities and mascots showing the buzz generated by mascots to be almost double that of celebs!
I try to be cool, but it doesn’t always work out. Lately at Cowley, we’ve been filming some videos (we call “Talk-A-Bouts”) on what we do as part of our own agency promo. Guess whose idea that was? And guess who gets to be in a bunch of them?
I managed to be pretty awkward in my first appearance, but got the point across, and learned a few things too. Here are three tips I garnered from the experience on getting interviewed on camera.
This last January, a new member of the social network family was born: Vine. As an adopted child of Twitter, Facebook immediately severed all ties with the baby, sensing “the Force is strong with this one.”

Imagine you are in charge of selling beer for one of the largest breweries in the world. Your choices: write loads of tomfoolery on your website or get James Bond to endorse you in an action video ad.
What would you do?
Heineken got it right with their latest Skyfall ads but it’s surprising how many companies get it wrong. The moral of the story: video works better.
Our office also serves as our studio; mainly because we don't have enough room to keep the studio up at all times. So, during one of the conversions from office to studio we decided to make this time-lapse video to show how we do it. I hope you enjoy it, we had fun filming and editing it.
