After what seemed like a very short summer, my time here at Cowley has come to an end. Before I leave however I feel like I need to write one more blog post explaining how truly great of an experience I had here at Cowley Associates this summer.
Here at Cowley Associates we are always trying to be innovative and do things that aren’t quite conventional. That led us to trying the first ever Cowley Aerial Shot…which led us on top of King + King Architecture’s roof…
Being a Project Manager requires me to wear many hats. And what girl doesn’t love hats? Especially many hats? There’s the “prepare and organize the team” hat, the “outline deliverables and project timelines” hat, the “communicate and follow up with our clients” hat, “proposal writing,” “creative thinking,” and “proof reading” hats….oy! – the list could go on and on! Having to change them so many times throughout the day can be a challenge, but it’s all about the way you plan and prioritize (here’s a tip: go neutral with the shoes!)
In my last week at Cowley Associates, I was asked to reflect on what I have learned during my time at the agency. My overall experience was fantastic: I was able to work with many of their clients and found a new friend in #PoeTheGnome!
Not too long ago I had the pleasure of going on a road trip with Tracey Gregory, our Project Manager. We had a great time – a fun little adventure we’ve shared at the office; so since then, Joe, our Internet Marketing Manager has been bugging me to write a blog about it and make it something along the lines of “business tips for road trips” (which has nothing to do with the fact that Poe the Gnome has been sitting in my office reminding me it’s my turn to write the blog this month). So here it is.
Here at Cowley, we have a little friend that is gaining social media status. Our esteemed colleague is Poe. He is a gnome that the company uses to ensure the monthly blog gets out. Each month Poe sits in someone’s office until his or her blog is complete. However, every Friday Poe gets to go on an adventure, usually with me.

An advertising agency can be a very hectic and busy place at times. Between new business coming in, frequent client project requests, new products in development, and just the hustle and bustle to meet all our deadlines – our team would not be able to do it without a competent and friendly project manager to hold everything together and steer the ship into port.
Monday, December 3rd, was the day of the annual meeting at Cowley Associates where we got together to plan for 2013 and discussed our strengths and the strategic direction that we are taking as a company. It was a fun break away from a normal work day to grow as an agency family.
Everybody’s getting excited about turkey, football, and seeing the family tomorrow (at least I am) and as I sat at my desk this morning, I got this great idea for a Thanksgiving blog. I literally ran around the office and asked each of our associates what they were thankful for this Thanksgiving. Here is what they said:
